Events.
One of the first events I've produced was a quarter-million-dollar Hyundai press event in New York. I worked with a team of incredible creatives. Hyundai Tucson was built for urban adventurers. Keeping this in mind, my team came up with the idea to turn the event venue into eight major US cities with its own signage, cuisine, props, and video wall imagery. The client enthusiastically accepted the idea because it was perfect for Hyundai's product positioning. After three months of hard work and back-and-forth with the client and team of 25 vendors, I traveled on location from California. On the day of the event, I woke up at 5 am to meet the transportation crew to install the never-seen-before Hyundai Tucson. Right after, more vendors started to arrive, and all I did was answering questions and troubleshooting all day until approximately 5 pm. It was 2 hours before the event. Everything looked superb: the lighting, beautifully produced video wall content, signage, catering crew, registration desk. I felt euphoria at this moment from what I've created. It's powerful to see your vision coming to life.
Later that year, I've pitched the women's automotive forum lunch during Los Angeles Auto Show this time. My research showed me that women didn't feel comfortable shopping for cars or bringing their vehicles to service. We reached out to women influencers in the car industry, such as Jean Jennings and Melanie Butenchuck. Together we specified the event rundown and topics for the panel. The turnaround was fantastic; women felt heard and shared valuable insights. The event took place during the last day of the Auto Show press dates. In addition to hosting such a critical experiential event, it also generated more PR coverage.
In April 2017 I produced an LGBTQ event in New York 100% remotely. I negotiated with vendors, designed and ordered signage and SWAG, ordered equipment, hired a videographer and local producer. I couldn't be at the event, but the audience's feedback that I received via email after the event almost brought me to tears. The guests thanked us for recognizing and honoring their community. While reconciling the budget, I've realized that we saved 35% more than we were supposed to. The biggest lesson for me was that better time management and not overthinking things bring better results.
In total, I've produced over 20 events for Hyundai, ARRI, Sim, Toyota.
